Go for the burn

Put simply, the game of hockey is a great way to burn calories and reach or maintain a healthy weight if you do it often. This is due to the fact that it is a stop-start game involving high-intensity periods as well as slower, more measured ones. Research shows that this is one of the best ways to burn calories!

A sense of well-being

We all know that exercise helps mood and that being outside is a proven way to keep stress at bay. Hockey goes one step forward as it is a team sport; research shows that team sports are a great way of improving mental health, too.

Keep running

Hockey is a game of running, so it improves stamina and speed and is a fabulous sport to play if you are planning on running a marathon any time soon.
